Marko Sima VMD

Veterinarian

Dr. Sima graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 after coming from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Bioscience. After graduation he started working full time for a few years. Then he transitioned to working as a relief veterinarian throughout the state of New Jersey in many different hospital settings including day practices and emergency clinics. In total he has worked in over 50 different veterinary hospitals since 1992. Dr. Sima has also held many permanent part time positions as well. His father was a veterinarian with a clinic attached to his home and growing up he was exposed to veterinary medicine since 1975. Dr. Sima has a strong interest in surgery and emergency medicine and has a lot of experience in both. Dr. Sima can remember as a youngster helping resuscitate little puppies from a C-section surgery his father was performing. He has cleaned a lot of cages and has taken care of many different dogs and a multitude of cats growing up. Since he is an only child, the animals were always a part of the family. Now he enjoys his 3 boys, two girls – Mallomar and Marmalade his Golden Retrievers, and the family’s 3 Chinchillas. In what spare time he has, he enjoys playing soccer with the boys, going to the beach, surfing, playing ice hockey occasionally, mountain biking, and skiing.

Dina Rovere VMD

Veterinarian

Dr. Rovere is a graduate of Bucknell University.  She received a BS in chemistry with a minor in biology.  She went to further her education in chemistry and math at Temple University School of Pharmacy.  She enjoys compounding medications and monitoring patient drug profiles.  While working as a Pharmacist she realized she was devoting more time to counseling her animal patients than her human ones which led her to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Rovere worked at Hospital of University of Pennsylvania Pharmacy supporting herself throughout her vet school years.  In May of 1992 she received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania.  After working for a year in Absecon Veterinary Hospital she realized she had a passion for surgery and furthered her education as an intern at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.  Here she gained much experience with surgery, exotics and emergency medicine.  When one door closes another opens and while not attaining her dream as a Board Certified Surgeon, she was able to obtain a job as an emergency clinician at Garden State Veterinary Specialists.  Dr. Rovere still enjoys working at Garden State with the interns once a week and marvels at the growth that occurs within young veterinarians in a year.

Dr. Rovere lives an active life outside of veterinary medicine.  She has three wonderful sons who are all the apples of her eye.  Her four-legged furry dog-daughters also give her peace as they walk on the beach or through the woods.  She enjoys real estate, Victorian homes, travel, history, swimming, biking, yoga, aerobics, cub scouts and being with her friends.  Her motto is not to go to sleep at night until she has made at least one positive impact in someone’s life that day.
